Lebala Camp is situated in the south of the Kwando Concession, adjacent to the headwaters of the Linyanti Marshes that form the boundary between Botswana and Namibia.  Offering friendliness and informality, Kwando Lebala (meaning ‘open plains’ in Setswana) has eight luxurious tents, each with a view onto the surrounding plains and the extensive grasslands. Enjoy a morning game drive transfer to Kwando Lagoon where you could even run into some cheetah en-route!

Activities
Day and evening game drives and bush walks, although the large herds of elephants often dictate where you can walk! (walks subject to guides’ discretion).  The camp also has a bird hide set on stilts facing the lagoon.

Wildlife
The area is well known for its predators – lion, leopard, hyena, cheetah and buffalo, hippo and elephant and excellent birding.

Eco-credentials
The Kwando concesion is 232000ha of unfenced wilderness area and features two camps on the Kwando River – Lagoon and Lebala.  With never more than six guests per vehicle, there is a maximum of eight tents in any Kwando camp.  Kwando offers informality and flexibility with a deep respect for the wildlife in these private safari areas.
