Jack's Camp

Jack's camp, view from tent, Botswana Jacks Camp room, botswana

Experience the vastness and isolation of the Kalahari and Makgadikgadi pans at Jack’s camp which consists of ten spacious tents each with indoor and outdoor showers and a flush toilet (that has to be seen to be believed!)  The main dining area is a treasure chest of books, maps, fossil and wildlife collections where you can drift away in one of the hammocks overlooking the remote scenery. The camp does its surroundings justice with its unique mix of decor, history and romance.

Wildlife
Desert-adapted wildlife, game and predators, as well as flamingos, migratory birds and zebra and wildebeest migration (during the wet season).

Activities
Game drives and, during the dry season, quad bike excursions onto the vast saltpans are possible.  Other unusual activities include walking with San (Bushman) trackers and interacting with a habituated meerkat family.

Eco-credentials
Jack’s camp offers the complete desert experience, focusing on the desert-adapted wildlife as well as the geology, archaeology and anthropology of the Kalahari and Makgadikgadi.
