Xigera Camp
This camp is a waterland paradise with permanent water year-round. Mokoro trips are a ‘must’, exploring the narrow channels and cutting through the long grasses or papyrus of the Delta. Xigera consists of eight luxury tented rooms each with en-suite facilities and an outdoor shower. All are built on wooden decks, providing superb views of the seasonal floodplain and waterhole. The camp also has small sandpits at the entrance to the lodge, allowing guests to see which animals walked through camp during the night!
Wildlife
Xigera camp is a delight for birdwatchers, with the beautiful Pel’s Fishing Owl, African Skimmer, Wattled Crane and host of raptors. Also red lechwe, antelope, the rare sitatunga, lion, hyaena and leopard.

Eco-credentials
A portion of each guest’s fare at Wilderness Safaris camps is allocated to the Wilderness Safaris Wildlife Trust, with 100% of these funds going to Trust-approved projects. The projects deal with the needs of existing wildlife populations, seek solutions to save endangered species and provide education and training for local people and their communities.
