Steppes Discovery awaiting image

Nitani has five beautifully appointed suites each built two metres above the ground over the Majali river and each with its own plunge pool.  If you have a specialised interest in anything from astronomy to geography, the resident ecologist will share his knowledge with you and the owners Shane and Ade share their passion for the bush and its wildlife. There is also a computerized telescope at Nitani for the most spectacular astronomy viewing.

Activities
Game drives, interpretive bush walks, special interest lectures, star gazing

Wildlife
Lions, elephants, cheetah, leopard, as well as the ‘small five’ – caracal, serval, African wildcat, aardwolf and aardvark

Eco-credentials
The philosophy that underpins conservation tourism at Nitani is the synthesis of three people: owners Shane and Ade Pinchen and their philosophical mentor, William Thipe, a wise Batswana conservationist and wildlife expert in his own right. There is no air or light pollution and although it is accessible by air, Nitani allows no over-flights. Vehicle use is carefully controlled, with off-road excursions kept to a minimum. Solar energy is used so there are no overhead cables.
