The original site of George Adamson’s first camp, Elsa’s Kopje is a very stylishly crafted wilderness retreat in Meru and consists of eight luxurious stone cottages each careful situated within the rocky outcrop for maximum privacy and each individually designed to incorporate the huge granite boulders and trees into your open plan accommodation. Wildlife
Prides of lion, large herds of buffalo, elephants with large bulls, cheetah, leopard, lesser and greater kudu, duiker, dik dik, hippo, and crocodile, and desert species like Beisa Oryx and Gerenuk. Excellent for bird watching
Activities
Game drives in open vehicles, nature walks, fishing, night game drives and rafting on the Tana River. Bush breakfasts, picnics or sun downer, or a bush dinner under the stars. Visits to the Tharaka tribal village.
