Masoala Forest Lodge
Located in the heart of the wild Masoala Peninsula is this rustic bushcamp where nature still reigns in undimished glory. Set behind golden beaches in a small clearing in the vast rainforest with five ‘African Safari’ tents positioned on wooden decks with hammocks for those afternoon siestas. In the main communal living area you can find books and games. Bathrooms and toilets huts are a short walk from the tents but equipped to a European standard. Meals are a blend of ‘Swiss – Malagasy – Rainforest’ cuisine with fresh fish and local produce.
Wildlife
Fabulous for Red Ruffed Lemurs and good birding for rare endemics like Helmet and Bernier’s Vanga and Madagascar Serpent Eagle. Reptiles and frogs are plentiful.
Activities
Walks (day and night) in the primary rainforest, guided sea kayaking, and snorkelling, whale watching and fishing.
Eco-credentials
