Hotel Kivu Sun
The hotel itself is ideally situated on a red, sandy beach, surrounded by shady palm-lined avenues and the nearby Virunga Volcanoes providing a spectacular backdrop on one side and a panoramic view of the lake on the other. Whilst the hotel is a little on the large side (66 rooms) it is comfortable and a great place to base yourself if you are looking to explore this interesting part of Rwanda, be it the leafy avenues or the hustle and bustle of the markets.
