Ant’s Nest and Ant’s Hill Private Bush Homes
Situated on adjoining private game reserves in the magnificent Waterberg, north west of Johannesburg, Ant’s Nest and Ant’s Hill offer complete flexibility and a wide range of activities to entertain the whole family. Ant’s nest accommodates groups of up to twelve guests in a classical African atmosphere. The local fabrics, timber and stone give this bush home its warm and welcoming feel and it has its own heated pool and waterhole in front of the house. Ant’s Hill is built on the edge of a cliff, offering breathtaking views across the Waterberg and accommodates 12 guests in beautiful suites with seven foot wide four-poster beds, sunken baths and waterfall showers.
Wildlife
The reserves boast over 40 species of game including the rare sable antelope, nyala, oryx, eland, giraffe, buffalo, white rhino and over 300 species of resident and migrant birds. Elusive nocturnal animals such as the rare brown hyena, aardvarks and porcupines.
Activities
Game drives, guided bush walks, horse rides (the herd of 45 horses is made up of big thoroughbreds and Arab-boerperd crosses and includes some great children’s ponies), cycling, special children’s activities
