Tsala Treetop Lodge

Constructed of stone, wood and glass, this lodge towers above the ancient, indigenous trees of the Tsitsikamma Forest and offers spectacular views of the forest canopy and the valley below.  The ten luxury timber suites sit amongst the tree branches and are joined to the rest of the lodge by elevated boardwalks.  Each suite has its own private deck and infinity pool.

Wildlife
Whales, dolphins, the nearby Elephant Sanctuary for elephant back rides, walking with elephants or a sunset or sunrise elephant experience, visit the nearby Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary.

The nearby Tsitsikamma National Park incorporates rocky coastline with spectacular sea and landscapes, a remote mountainous region with secluded valleys covered in mountain fynbos and temperate high forests with deep river gorges leading to the sea.  Tsitsikamma is a Khoisan word meaning ‘place of much water’ and it is the place to see dolphins and porpoises, the African Black Oystercatcher, the Kynsna Lourie, the Cape Clawless otter and the Blue Duiker, a miniature antelope found in the forests
