Klein's Camp

Situated just 23 km’s south of the Masaai Mara in Kenya, the camp provides one of the most wild and untamed areas of the Serengeti – all to yourself. Hidden among the Kuku Hills, Klein’s  is situated in a 25000 acre private sanctuary leased from the local Masaai community, with each of the 10 rock and thatch cottages offering sweeping views of the valley below.  Whilst the lodge is a permanent structure and not a bush-camp as such, it still retains the atmosphere of such places and is ideal for those who enjoy their safaris with a dash of luxury! Its setting however, gives it a much wilder feel than most.

Wildlife
Excellent year-round lion, leopard and cheetah viewing - great migration of thousands of zebra and wildebeest (typically in July), huge buffalo and elephant herds, rich bird watching in seasonal marshland, large raptor population.

Activities
Game drives, night drives, interpretive bush walks, visits to local Maasai manyattas (homesteads), bush banquets.

Eco-credentials
Over U$90,000 invested in community projects, bee-keeping programme, anti-poaching initiatives, supports Emanyatta shamba, Klein’s organic African vegetable garden.
