Unlike many other primate tours, this trip offers much more than just a glimpse into the world of the gorilla, but aims to feature a more holistic approach to mountain gorilla tourism in each area and the chance to experience the huge diversity of flora and fauna found in Uganda. Whilst the highlight for many people is to track the gorillas, you will also have the chance to follow chimpanzees, explore the open savannahs of Queen Elizabeth National Park and enjoy an exciting river safari on the Kazinga Channel led by of the regions top primatologists.
It is also the people of Uganda who are such a huge part of the success of this tour and you have the chance to visit a number of local communities working in the region and visit the Kiyoima Primary school, supported by Steppes Discovery clients over the years, were you will get to meet the teachers and children and to see the library built and paid for by our clients generosity.
