Nile Safari lodge
This small, luxury tented lodge offers much more of an authentic bush camp than the larger Paraa Safari Lodge and its beautiful riverside location is ideal for afternoon boat safaris looking for the shoebill stork. Each of the rooms has en suite facilities blending perfectly into the surrounding bush. The rooms themselves are a combination of canvas and wooden cottages on stilted wooden frames with a private veranda overlooking the Nile, a theme which is continued in the inviting communal area, with a great bar over looking the river.
Wildlife
Hippos’, crocodiles, waterbuck, elephants, shoebill stork, colourful rock agama lizards, excellent birding and the marshes opposite are one of the best places in the park to see the shoebill stork.
Activities
Bird watching, game drives, boat safaris, forest walks, fishing.
Eco-credentials
Sensitive use of local materials in building the lodge with many parts of the lodge built almost entirely from natural materials.
Activities from the camp are plentiful and include boats trips exploring the mighty Nile River and to the thundering Murchison Falls. Other options include game drives, fishing trips, walking safaris and cultural village excursions.
