Paraa Safari Lodge

First opened in the 1950’s, this large lodge is perched above the White Nile, offering  breath-taking views over the Murchison Falls National Park. Having been extensively renovated and whilst a little on the large side, it’s use of natural materials and traditional African furnishings gives it a softer feel than usual properties of this style. However, it is in an ideal location for both game drives and the boat safaris for Murchison falls and offers very good levels of comfort and service.

Wildlife
Buffalo, kob, giraffe, lions, side-striped jackal, leopards’, hyena’s and localised patas monkeys (although these last three are elusive!) huge crocodiles on the Nile.

Activities
Game drives, Murchison Falls boat safari, bird watching, river safaris, fishing and forest walks.

Eco-credentials
Sensitive use of local materials in the building of the lodge and a large source of employment in this little visited area
