Mweya Lodge
Given that the lodge hosted Queen Elizabeth II in 1954 and whilst more of a hotel than a lodge, each of the air-conditioned and comfortable rooms certainly cater for the more top end of the market. The rooms all have their own private balconies overlooking the Kazinga channel or Lake Edward and whilst the lodge may lack some of the more intimate character of the smaller lodges nearby, Mweya is hard to beat in terms of comfort, range of facilities and location for game viewing.
Activities
Ideally located opposite the jetty for rivers safaris on the Kazinga channel, traditional game drives, in ideally, forest walks, crater lake visits, chimpanzee walks in Kyambura gorge, exploring local villages.
