Winter (June through October) is best for game viewing as seasonal water sources dry up and wildlife tends to congregate around the main waterways.
April, May, November and December, although partly within the ‘green season’, offer good game viewing, while the best time for birding is during the summer migration, from November to April. The ‘wet season’, with its dramatic, short rainstorms and when many animals give birth, offers brilliant photography as there is much less dust and the skies are truly dramatic.
