Old Mondoro Bush Camp

Old Mondoro Bush Camp Old Mondoro Bush Camp seating

A joint venture between the owners of Sausage Tree Camp and Chiawa Camp, this bush camp, opened in 2002 is a little more rustic.  Mondora, the Shona word for lion, has canvas and reed chalets, each built around an ancient winterthorn tree and lit by paraffin lanterns at night.  En suite bathrooms have flush loos, wash basins and showers with running cold water.  Hot water is delivered on request to old fashioned canvas buckets.  Old Mondoro bush camp is open from May to October.
