Voyage Outline
Cruise south of New Zealand to six isolated island groups to experience the dynamic and diverse southern ocean eco-system, this really is a unique expedition to wild and untouched islands.  The names of these islands Bounty, Snares, Auckland, Campbell, Macquarie and Antipodes conjure up images of the early explorers who discovered them and few people have visited them since. Situated within the Roaring Forties and Furious Fifties they are not a destination for the feint-hearted but their remoteness has helped with their conservation. 11% of the worlds seabirds breed here and over 120 species have been sighted; eight penguin species breed here including three endemic; Snares Crested, Royal and Erect Crested Penguins . With Petrels, Fernbirds, Shearwaters, Parakeets, Mollyhawks, Fulmars & Prions , to name but a few this really is the destination for birding down under.
