Designed as the ultimate Arctic safari, this luxury and exclusive expedition explores the wildlife rich Lancaster Sound. An area known as the Serengeti of the Arctic, set against the backdrop of spectacular icebergs and glaciers. In spring the Arctic reawakens revealing dazzling flora and massive migrations of birds and animals and it is this incredible sight that we aim to see. Here you find narwhal, belugas and bowhead whales cruising the icy, clear waters, whilst polar bears roam the land as thousands of migratory birds fill the sky.
These luxury, land based trips are operated from private safari style camps located on solid sea ice and pebbly beaches. Head out each day on foot, skiddo, kayak or zodiac, depending on the wildlife sightings at the time and your own sense of adventure! Many of these locations have been used by Inuit for generations and it is this exceptional local knowledge that sets our trips apart - our partnerships with local communities means our tours are led by local guides and elders that have been travelling and living on this land all their lives.
This knowledge is built into every one of these trips, combining traditional wildlife knowledge with the very latest in expedition equipment including satellite imagery for ice and wildlife tracking, rigid polar bear proof structures and the latest spotting scopes for a once-in-a-lifetime Arctic safari with a difference.
