Trip Summary
This tiger safari in India offers you the chance to join tiger experts and researchers in the wilds of Madhya Pradesh, India's "tiger state". Designed to offer more than the conventional tiger group tours, this safari allows you to go behind the scenes of ongoing tiger and wildlife research programmes, searching for tigers and their prey in Panna and Bandhavgarh National Parks.

Not only will you have the opportunity to accompany park rangers on foot, on elephant back and on night drives, but their contacts and knowledge of tiger behaviour in the area will provide a fascinating insight into these elusive animals not available on any other tiger tour.

You will also enjoy visits to traditional rural villages with the chance to spend an evening with a local community living adjacent to the park and  experience firsthand the famous Indian hospitality. Our longest running and most popular tiger tour and with sightings of leopard and sloth bear in addition to the 14 tiger sightings on our last trip, it is easy to see why,,,

Plenty of options to extend your time visiting the Taj Mahal, the Palaces or Rajasthan, or other parks, including Kaziranga, Satpura or Tadoba. Please contact Chris on 01285 64 33 33 or drop him an e-mail - chris@steppesdiscovery.co.uk for more information on this trip or similar tailormade options.

Travel Operators for Tigers is a campaign promoting the need for change in the way that nature and wildlife tourism is developing in India. The desire is that all those involved in ‘tiger tourism’, including tour operators, accommodation providers, local services, park management and of course, visitors will join together to halt the demise of the tiger. Through collective action and adherence to a Code of Conduct the aim of the campaign is to make wildlife tourism in India more responsible and more sustainable.

Steppes Discovery is a founding member of this campaign.
