Bosque De Paz Biological Reserve
A small comfortable reserve that offers an extensive nature library and a restaurant where you can observe the birds bathing in the stream outside! Located in a 700 hectare privately-owned biological reserve where you can discover some of the 300 species of bird that have been registered here. Just 12 rooms surrounded by forest and a hummingbird, and butterfly garden. Wide balconies offer beautiful views to the forest.
Wildlife
The lodge has recorded more than 331 species of birds at our preserve since July, 1997, including Resplendent Quetzal, Scaled Antpitta, Black Guan, Emerald Toucanet, Three Wattled Bellbird, Ornate Hawk-Eagle, Zeledonia, and Silvery-fronted, Tapaculo, Black--faced Solitaire, American Dipper, Golden-browed Chlorophonia, among many others, and abundant hummingbirds.
Activities
You will admire wonders of nature, outstanding birds, and wildlife at Bosque de Paz using the signed trails through the forest ranging from 1 kilometre to 7.5 kilometres, adding up to 22 kilometres through old growth and second growth forest.
