Grey Whale

Grey whale
The grey whale is the only member of its family. It is perhaps an intermediate between the rorquals and the right whales. Body length is between 12 and 14 metres, and their weight is between 15 and 35 tonnes. Grey whales are now restricted to the North Pacific Ocean, along east and west coasts.

Californian grey whales migrate along the western coast of North America between their summer feeding ground in the Arctic to their winter calving grounds in the lagoons of Baja California, Mexico.
