Trip Summary
This ultimate East African safari is designed to experience the huge diversity of the wilds of Uganda and Rwanda. Visiting three different gorilla parks allows you the opportunity to trek these magnificent creatures up to 5 times, but this is just a small part of the trip. You will follow chimpanzees in the dramatic Kyambura Gorge, take game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park looking for tree-climbing lions, enjoy nature walks through prehistoric forests and float pass fishing villages and some of Africa’s largest crocodiles on a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel.
In addition to this, you can also experience what many consider to be some of the best birding in Africa, with over 1000 species recorded in Uganda alone including the famous shoe bill stork. This is due to the incredible diversity of landscapes found in such a small area, from lush mountain forests, open savannah, marshland and snow capped mountains.
However, the importance of where you stay also affects your experience, which is why we use some of the most exclusive lodges in the region, chosen as much for their location as much as their style and atmosphere. One of our most consistently popular tours with good reason!
