Staying in the comfortable Rimba eco-lodge, (with private bathrooms) overlooking the Sekonyer river, this adventure will not only give you unique access to the Foundation’s work but will also allow you to come face-to-face with the orangutans in their fragile natural environment including the famous research site at Camp Leakey. You will also gain a deeper understanding of the vital role the forest plays in securing the orangutans future as well as the chance to meet the communities who live in the region.
This tour is completely unique compared to other orangutan tours as it also offers you the chance to visit areas in the region which are being made accessible ONLY for Steppes Discovery clients to see orangutans in the wild - you will have the orangutans all to yourself!
