Trip Summary
For wildlife photographers, shooting tigers in the wild is one of the most exciting challenges there is. With seven nights spent exclusively in Bandhavgarh National park, India’s most prolific tiger reserve, this trip gives you the ultimate opportunity to capture unforgettable shots of tigers and other wildlife under the expert tuition of photographer David Plummer.

With plenty of one-to-one tuition from David, you will also be accompanied throughout by local naturalist guides and tiger experts who are very much on hand to point out the huge variety of India’s flora and fauna found in the region. They will also allow you to learn much more about the tiger’s behaviour and habitat, ensuring the best possible chance of being in the right place at the right time for that perfect shot. Combine this with the spectacular backdrop of Bandhavgarh’s Fort, the colourful communities who live in the region and the beautiful forest setting, it is easy to see why this is one of our most popular and accessible photography tours.

Travel Operators for Tigers is a campaign promoting the need for change in the way that nature and wildlife tourism is developing in India. The desire is that all those involved in ‘tiger tourism’, including tour operators, accommodation providers, local services, park management and of course, visitors will join together to halt the demise of the tiger. Through collective action and adherence to a Code of Conduct the aim of the campaign is to make wildlife tourism in India more responsible and more sustainable.

Steppes Discovery is a founding member of this campaign.
