Trip Overview
This Alaskan cruise is ideally suited to those who love active wilderness exploration, with kayaks and paddleboards onboard allowing you to explore under your own steam, alongside more structured daily guided walking and zodiac-based excursions. The small size of the boats allows access to the quiet coves and narrow passages inaccessible to larger ships, often providing front row seats to some great wildlife viewing opportunities.
This part of Alaska is home to some of the densest bear (brown and black) populations in North America, while its waters are home to the largest concentrations of humpbacks in the Northern Hemisphere. Orca, sea otters, bald eagles, seals and mountain goats are also often seen.
Accompanied by your knowledgeable guides, each day will be maximized through land and sea-based activities and excursions, as you explore this vast wilderness. More active than passive, these departures are ideal for the inquisitive naturalist traveller keen to both learn about and experience the local fauna and flora. Includes complimentary use of onboard kayaks, as well as a wealth of onboard technology for helping to appreciate the rich, less visible marine life.
