Known in the Aleut language as Alyeska, the "great land", America’s largest and wildest state is most famous for the world’s largest population of brown bears in Katmai, attracted by the spawning salmon they come to feast on. Estimated to number in excess of 2,000, the wildlife encounters at the famous Brooks Falls make for some thrilling photography and is the best place on the planet to see these coastal grizzlies in their natural habitat.

In addition to this, we can explore the beautiful and unexplored Denali National Park, visiting Mount McKinley, which towers above the tundra below where wolves, moose and caribou roam, before moving on to the Kenai Fjords.

The Fjords are home to a very different mammal and a journey aboard a specially adapted expedition yacht allows for some fascinating marine safaris and unparalleled viewing of humpback whales and orca’s, against a backdrop of spectacular glaciers. This tour is designed to offer you the chance to explore some of North America’s wildest landscapes and come face-to-face with the iconic brown bear.
