Group Tour Summary
Track North America’s most intriguing predator against the dramatic backdrop of Yellowstone National Parks winter landscape, in the company of wolf experts. This rare 6 day expedition follows the resident wolf packs in the fabled Lamar Valley on the park’s northern fringe. Spend your days in the heart of wolf territory, tracking and observing the packs as they hunt across the frozen creeks and meadows.
By visiting the park in winter, not only will you see Yellowstone at its most dramatic, but you will also have a much greater chance of some close encounters. The heavy snow makes tracking that much easier, with a resident wolf researcher on hand to offer an insight into the packs behaviour.
The lack of tourists also means we have the park to ourselves to enjoy the natural drama played out by the wild animals that live among its frozen landscapes including bison, coyote and golden eagle and you can hear the howling of the wolves as you warm yourself by the lodge fires at night.
