Spring: The bears come out of their slumber to feed on the sedges, succulents, grasses and barnacles which abound in the estuary. This is a good time to see the cubs come out to explore for the first time.
Summer: The bears feed on berries though this is the quietest time to see bears sighting still occur generally every day.
Autumn: This is the time when the Salmon Run occurs and the bears come to feed on the salmon as they leap up the channel to spawn.

Summary

In a remote corner of the British Columbian coast, facing northern Vancouver Island is a wild land where Grizzly Bears scratch their backs on grand old trees, Bald Eagles soar in a piercing blue sky, whales and porpoises frolic in the longest fjord on the B.C. coast and glacial waters rush down thundering waterfalls. This untamed land is the setting for your week-long adventure exploring back-country rivers and witnessing some of the most spectacular wildlife in North America.
