The greatest rainforest on earth, the Amazon, covers roughly 40% of South America and is about the same size as the USA without Alaska. It includes parts of Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Guyana, Surinam and French Guiana and boasts more species of plants and animals than anywhere else on earth. It is also home to an estimated 90% of the world’s undiscovered tribes as well as numerous indigenous groups who still maintain strong traditions. One such group is the Huaorani people of the Yasuni biosphere who only started having contact with the outside world in the 1950s.
This trip combines two areas of the Ecuadorian Amazon, one with a focus on cultural encounters and the other with a focus on the incredible biodiversity of the region, to provide the ultimate rainforest experience.
Price: From £1,525 per person based on a minimum of two people travelling.
