Bolivian Amazon

The main area of the Bolivian Amazon which can be visited is part of the Madidi National Park bordering Peru’s Manu Biosphere Reserve. Considered by some to be the most biologically diverse place on earth this area offers a mixture of forest and wetland. This National Park, which covers areas up to the high Andes as well as the Amazon, is believed to be home to over 1,000 birds.

Further East is the Noel Kempff Mercado National Park. This remote National Park is seldom visited and best accessed from Brazil. It is home to some 130 species of mammal, 620 species of birds and 70 species of reptiles.
