Ibera Wetlands

Ibera Wetlands

This vast wetland area of North-eastern Argentina is made of swamps, bogs, lakes, and lagoons interconnected by a series of canals and waterways. It is the second largest wetland in the world after the Pantanal situated to the North in Brazil. The area is a biodiversity hotpot and home to numerous animals including the Neo-tropical River Otter, Manned Wolf and capybara, the world’s largest rodent. Over 350 species of birds and other land and water animals can also be found in this still secret place a short distance from Iguazu Falls.
