After a short visit to Ecuador’s bustling capital city with its colonial old town and surrounding volcanoes head out 1,000kms into the Pacific Ocean to one of the world’s top wildlife spots, the Galapagos Islands. Famous for being the inspiration behind Charles Darwin’s theory of Evolution, these enchanted islands are home to a plethora of wildlife, from Giant Tortoises to Marine Iguanas, Blue-footed Boobies to Frigate Birds.

Explore the islands onboard the Galapagos Odyssey, or one of the other boats that plough the archipelago’s waters. You can easily combine this week long trip with more time exploring Ecuador and elsewhere in South America.
