Contributing to Conservation
Over the last 12 years our inspirational wildlife tours have supported numerous conservation projects and NGOs around the world. These contributions have, amongst other things, enabled us to build schools in Uganda, fund research in the Galapagos Islands and buy land for orangutans in Borneo.
Our commitment to sustainable travel and its beneficial effect to remote communities and the natural world has enabled us to produce exciting and stimulating itineraries which provide you, the traveller, with a very personal experience.
We know that our group tours have that "Discovery" difference which means expertise both at home and in the field and we salute the work of our conservation partners and many of you who have helped us deliver award winning trips worldwide.

Hot News
In Darwins' Bicentenary Year another Centarian may become a father!
Lonesome George, aged between 90 and 100, astounded conservationists last year by mating for the first time in 36 years. Native to the Galapagos Island of Pinta he now lives in captivity at the Charles Darwin Research Station on the island of Santa Cruz
and is the only known living "Geochelone abigdoni" tortoise.
His female companions are of a similar but different species - The national park has said that the latest five eggs are being cared for in an incubation centre. It will be November before scientists know whether they are viable.
Steppes Discovery have been supporting this centre for over 10 years and if you would like to visit the Galapagos Islands read more or email Dawn.
