Steppes help to celebrate Blue-footed Booby Day

The Blue-footed Booby is most famously found in the Galapagos Islands. Anyone lucky enough to spend time with these stunning birds can’t help but fall for them as they are always happy to perform their highly entertaining courtship dance - which involves the males flaunting their blue feet to the female.
While they are most elegant in flight, Blue-footed Boobies are rather clumsy on the ground and this, coupled with their iconic courtship dance, earned them their name - ‘booby’ coming from the Spanish term ‘bobo’, meaning down.
So on Friday 18 June Steppes are celebrating these charismatic birds by encouraging staff to sport blue feet - blue shoes, socks or by using GCT's online template to create Booby feet. We will also encourage frinds, family and clients to donate £2 to the cause.
There are many more ways to support Blue-footed Booby Day, all of which can be found on the GCT website www.savegalapagos.org/bluefootedboobyday
