Peru strike is finally over after 45 days

Travel to Lake Titicaca is now back on track since strikes have finally ceased after some 45 days and some 20,000 protesters will now return to normality after being heard by the Peruvian Government.
Indigenous Peruvians were striking against mining companies and with the changeover of government caused disruptions, some violent. Incidentally the government has until the end of August to agree to 30% of the demands or the strike may be resurrected.
We had clients travelling to the area and re-routed as necessary keeping them safe thanks to having such a fantastic agent on the ground and their knowledge of striking in the past.
