Hippo - the wild feast

South Luangwa Hippo

Not for the faint hearted, the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia is playing host this week to a fascinating wildlife spectacle showing nature's food-chain in action!

Streamed live on Channel4.com since Friday 21 October - with the final (1 x 90 min) programme airing on Monday 7 November at 9pm, viewers will be able to watch as an entire ecological system consumes the enormous carcass of a dead hippo.

Big brother style live stream can be viewed on: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/hippo-the-wild-feast/articles/live

Millie has just returned yesterday from the South Luangwa yesterday (her first visit since working there in a camp in 2005) and now is the time to go for fantastic game viewing and there are some amazing last minute special offers with Norman Carr Safaris -  from November to 12 December – two people for the price of one! And then you could top this off with an extension on the beach as there is also an incredible special offer at Kaya Mawa on Likoma Island in Malawi where Millie also used to work! The most stunning place to really switch off from early morning game drives/walks in the South Luangwa and let the wonderful staff here look after you in style on the lake’s beautiful beaches.

For the more active you can go kayaking, mountain biking, diving, snorkelling, walking and lots more – explore the island and meet the friendly locals. Again, she has just revisited Kaya Mawa and can tell you all about it. Call Millie on 01285 650011 for more information.
