The Vietnamese Embassy in the UK has recently advised that travellers heading to Vietnam should secure a visa directly from the embassy before travel.
The Vietnam Immigration Department has confirmed that there have been no changes in Vietnam's policy and that it is still possible to obtain a visa on arrival for visitors from the UK. However, there have been a few cases where documents issued on arrival have proved not to be genuine, and travellers have then been denied boarding or passage through immigration.
