One of the questions I am often asked: ”Why elephants?” My reply is always the same: “Because they are so funny, not intentionally funny, but they do such entertaining things that make you laugh! You can watch them for hours without getting bored, and most of all, continuously learn something from them.” Having started her pioneering research in 1999, when little was known about the Tuli Block elephants, Jeanetta’s study plays a significant role in trans-frontier conservation. Her passion and dedication is infectious and her vital research is crucial to successful elephant management.
