Project Field Researchers, Carnivore Census Project in the Limpopo Valley
Rox Brummer studied Ecology and Zoology at Durham University in the UK, before working at Makulu Makete Wildlife Reserve in Limpopo Province. Here she was responsible for managing the introduction of Cheetahs caught elsewhere in South Africa, and initiated a research project into the ecology of Cheetahs and Brown Hyaenas on small fenced reserves. As well as the carnivore work, Rox managed a habitat rehabilitation project, working to restore land that had been degraded by decades of overgrazing. Rox joined EWT in July 2007 to co-ordinate the Carnivore Census Project in the Limpopo Valley.
